I already have another tariff with Endesa. Can I switch to the 3-Period Light Tariff?

Of course. If you are already an Endesa customer and would like to sign up for the 3-Period Light Tariff, you can do so without any problem.

Do I have a commitment period if I sign up for the 3-Period Light Tariff?

No, the 3-Period Light Tariff has no minimum stay or penalties. You can change your tariff or leave whenever you want.

How long does my contract with Endesa last?

The contract with Endesa, regardless of the tariff chosen, lasts for one year and is automatically renewable. In tariffs where a one-year duration is mandatory, we would inform you.

What is the update policy for the fixed price on the 3-Period Light Tariff?

The price may be updated on 1 January each year in line with the actual CPI value (the latest official year-on-year General Consumer Price Index published at the time of the update), as well as due to any changes affecting the current regulated components applicable to electricity and gas supplies, and any new regulatory changes that may be approved.

In the event of an update based on CPI, the year-on-year CPI for November, published on the website of the National Statistics Institute, will be used. The update will be carried out by adding to the previous prices the result of multiplying the CPI by those prices. For information purposes, the year-on-year CPI for November 2024 was 2.4%; for November 2023, 3.2%; for November 2022, 6.8%; for November 2021, 5.5%; for November 2020, -0.8%; and for November 2019, 0.4%.

If there are any changes to the regulated components applicable to the contract, these will be passed on to the customer, whether increases or decreases. Such modifications are regulated and entirely beyond Endesa’s control, and apply equally throughout the national territory and to all companies.

Additionally, the price may be reviewed one year after contracting. If there are any changes, we will inform you one month in advance. Remember that you may terminate the contract at any time without penalty, or take out another tariff with Endesa or any other company.

Which customers benefit most from the 3-Period Light Tariff?

The 3-Period Light Tariff is especially suitable for households with an electric car and stable routines, who can concentrate vehicle charging between 00:00 and 08:00 in the early morning or during weekends. It is ideal for:

  • People who park in a garage, whether private or shared.
  • Those who charge their car at night before starting their working day or during the weekend.
  • Families with a second electric vehicle.

If you can schedule charging during night-time hours, as well as on weekends and public holidays, this tariff allows you to maximise savings without significantly changing your daily habits.

Can I sign up for the 3-Period Light Tariff in a shared residential building?

Yes. The 3-Period Light Tariff can be applied in homeowners’ associations or shared car parks equipped with charging points for electric vehicles. By concentrating consumption during night-time hours (00:00–08:00) and throughout the day on weekends and public holidays, this tariff helps reduce collective costs and makes shared consumption management easier.

In addition, Endesa offers personalised advice to help you implement the best community charging solution, tailored to the needs of your building or garage.

Expert tip from Endesa: “Integrate charging into your daily routine with the Endesa app: you can monitor your consumption, receive alerts and check in real time the savings and positive impact of your electric mobility.”

What happens if I change EVs mid-contract?

No problem: the 3-Period Light Tariff is linked to your electricity supply, not to your vehicle. If you change your electric car, you can continue enjoying the same tariff at your charging point. There is also no need to change your charging point, as our chargers are compatible with any vehicle.

In addition, if the new car requires a different charging power, Endesa offers personalised advice to adjust your contracted power and help you make the most of off-peak and holiday hours without overspending.

Expert tip: Before receiving your new electric car, review your installation’s power capacity and check whether it would be advisable to adjust it.

How is energy billed under the 3-Period Light Tariff?

The 3-Period Light Tariff divides electricity billing into three time slots:

  • Off-peak: from 00:00 to 08:00 Monday to Friday, and all day on weekends and public holidays.
  • Mid-peak: intermediate time slots on weekdays (usually morning, midday and afternoon, excluding peak hours).
  • Peak: hours of highest demand (typically between 10:00–14:00 and 18:00–22:00).

Your bill will show consumption broken down by each period, applying the corresponding kWh price to the hours when consumption occurred. This way, if you concentrate charging your electric car or your main electricity uses during off-peak hours, you will pay a significantly lower price than during the other time slots.

In addition, if you purchase a charging point with Endesa X Way, off-peak hours include an additional 40% discount on your consumption.

What if I install solar self-consumption after signing up for the 3-Period Light Tariff?

No problem at all. The 3-Period Light Tariff is fully compatible with solar self-consumption installations. You will continue to benefit from reduced off-peak prices (00:00 to 08:00 and all day on weekends and public holidays), and you will also be able to offset on your bill the energy you generate and feed back into the grid. In this way, your savings multiply:

  • Daytime self-consumption: you reduce your electricity use during sunny hours thanks to your photovoltaic installation.
  • Night-time off-peak charging: you take advantage of the lowest price to charge your electric car and other high-consumption devices.

Professional recommendation: If you decide to add self-consumption with surplus compensation, review your contracted power and charging habits with your energy advisor.

Can I transfer my 3-Period Light Tariff tariff to a new address?

The tariff is always linked to a supply point, not to the person. If you move home, you will need to set up a new contract at your new property. At that time, you can sign up again for the 3-Period Light Tariff and continue enjoying its benefits (reduced prices during off-peak hours, weekends and public holidays, with no minimum stay).

Points to consider:

  • You must notify the change in advance.

Expert tip: Make sure to complete the process in good time if you are planning to move, so you do not lose any benefits in the following month. In addition, Endesa offers personalised advice to review the electrical characteristics of your new home (required power capacity, possible adaptations, etc.).

What happens if regulations change during my contract?

Endesa will update prices if:

  • The regulated components of the electricity system change.
  • There is a revision of the year-on-year CPI (every 1 January).

Contractual peace of mind: Revisions are transparent and apply equally to all companies under national regulations.

If I have a social bonus and I select this promotion, will I lose it?

If you have a social bonus, you should not sign up for this tariff or this promotion, as you would lose it.
