Endesa adopts a Tax Strategy, inspired by values of transparency and legality, to guarantee a fair, responsible and transparent tax contribution in all territories where it operates.
Responsible taxation is a pillar of Endesa's corporate sustainability, which, as one of the benchmarks in the energy sector, strictly complies with tax regulations in all the countries where it operates.
The Enel Group – to which Endesa belongs – was recognised in 2025 as a European leader in tax transparency, winning the ‘VBDO Tax Transparency Award’ for the second consecutive year thanks to a public and verifiable tax strategy, particularly standing out for its clarity regarding the relationship between economic activity, taxation, and tax incentives.
For years, Endesa has been ahead of tax disclosure obligations with a proactive strategy of fiscal responsibility and transparency.
During 2025, Endesa continued to promote these values, as demonstrated by the following:
- Publication of the Tax Transparency Report on our website, reinforcing clarity and accessibility for all stakeholders.
- Maintenance of the UNE 19602 certification, which reaffirms the robustness of its Tax Compliance System.
- Creation of a unified space on Endesa's website dedicated to the Compliance System, including each and every one of its areas, among them, taxation.
- Award of the Tax Transparency and Responsibility Seal, with 100% compliance in tax transparency indicators.
- Reinforcement of transparency and cooperation, maintaining the commitment to adherence to the Code of Best Tax Practices, the voluntary submission of Enhanced Reports and Transfer Pricing documentation, in addition to continuing to promote Advance Pricing Agreements (APAs). Through these practices, Endesa consolidates an open and collaborative relationship with the Tax Administration.
- Advanced digitalisation of tax processes, increasing the control, efficiency, and traceability of data.
- Participation in taxation forums, sharing best tax practices and promoting responsible taxation.
Endesa understands sustainability from an environmental point of view, but also as a framework for practising good governance, transparency, and an ethical attitude towards society and its stakeholders.
We firmly believe that transparent, ethical, and committed taxation is essential to building a sustainable future.
